CENTRAL SEROUS RETINOPATHY ( CSR )

CENTRAL SEROUS RETINOPATHY ( CSR )

By Dr Anmol Arora (Sr Homoeopathic specialist)

This condition usually occurs in patients between the ages of 30 and 50 and presents with mild blurring of vision in one eye. This is caused by a small collection of fluid beneath the macula (retina) secondary to malfunction of the tissue supporting the retina (the retinal pigment epithelium or RPE). Another common symptom is feeling that objects appear smaller in the affected eye (micropsia).

The underlying cause of the problem is an unexplained defect in the vascular layer supporting the retinal pigment epithelium (the choroicapillaris) which becomes more leaky and creates a small blister in the retinal pigment epithelium. In some patients, this is all that happens (an RPE detachment or PED), but in others, a defect in the RPE lets fluid escape under the retina and this is usually associated with clinical symptoms.

Emotion: An Introduction

What is emotion?  A feeling?  Then what is a feeling?  These terms are difficult to define and even more difficult to understand completely.  People have been attempting to understand this phenomenon for thousands of years, and will most likely debate for a thousand more.

The analysis of emotions has been ineffectual up till now since they are very difficult to identify, except for a few such as fear and anger. Many years ago I began an intense psycho-analysis (which I did on my own). It took me five years of constant awareness to finally identify the range of emotions that I usually experience. CHILDHOOD ASTHMA

CHILDHOOD ASTHMA

Asthma is the most common serious chronic childhood disease. It is a chronic inflammatory disease of the lungs and airways — the tubes that bring air to the lungs. If your baby has asthma, these airways are irritated and swollen, and produce more mucus which narrows these breathing tubes and can affect his ability to breathe and lead a normal, healthy life. He may breathe rapidly, cough, wheeze, or whistle as his breath is forced through the narrowed airways. Read the rest of this entry »

Diarrhoea -Rotavirus Disease

By Dr Anmol Arora ( Sr Homoeopathic Specialist )

Worldwide, almost every child will have at least one rotavirus infection before he or she is five years old. The virus is so contagious and resilient that providing clean water and promoting proper hygiene do not significantly reduce incidence, which is nearly the same in industrialized and developing countries. Additionally, because rotavirus usually causes profuse vomiting, ORS/ORT is difficult to administer.

Rotaviruses are a genus of viruses belonging to the Reoviridae family. Seven major groups have been identified, three of which (groups A, B, and C) infect humans, with group A being the most common and widespread one.
